Halloween and Recent Happenings!

Last year Luke and I went with Kylee to the haunted straw maze so we decided to make a tradition out of it and go again this year. Luke wanted us to actually get a picture there since we didn't last time. (:

We brought Maddie along too this year so Kylee wouldn't feel like a third wheel. (Also there is a good chance of me having creepy eyes in this picture because of trying to correct red eye on my phone)

Luke and I went bowling with some of his Lakewood friends and I got the best bowling score I have ever gotten in my life and I still didn't win!!! (Dang Bryce Pexton!) But I broke 100  and got 3 strikes so I can cross that off the bucket list!

If you know me you know I'm an animal lover so I finally convinced Luke to let me get a bunny! Her name is Farley and she's a Mini Rex rabbit. Luke's not as fond of her but he tolerates her.
She loves to sit on my shoulder too which is kinda weird but good for pictures!
Marlboro Man for Halloween!

Price is Right Contestant !

I love these pjs so much that I wanted to put them on here. (Luke thinks I'm crazy)

This is called Play dough ice cream and it is one of the most delicious ice creams you will ever have! Also the fact that it's Farr's ice cream makes a world of difference!!!

Us being us...

Luke and I went to a pottery painting thing a business for a class is doing! It's super awesome and fun if you haven't tried it. It's called Paint and Fire. You paint it and then they glaze and fire it. I can't wait to get ours back!

We decided on doing a simple polkadot pattern so if we messed up a design it looked like it was supposed to be there.

I love this man! (:

I can't wait for Thanksgiving and (hopefully) getting to see some family in Utah. Right now where we are actually eating dinner is up in the air but hopefully someone will want us! I wish we could go to Colorado but there's not enough time or budget to let us when we are going there for Christmas. I can't wait to see my family and my new family! Luke and I are so lucky that our families live so close so we can see both of them in one trip! Can't wait for Christmas!

Herbert Ghost Town!

So one of my favorite things to do is try and find Ghost Towns. (granted this is just one house which doesn't really constitute a "town" but the rest of the town was on private property and Luke wouldn't trespass.) Anyway, it was super cool and old! It was a town called Herbert just outside of Rexburg. We went into the house and it was falling to pieces. Literally, my brother in law Andrew went up stairs with Luke and they made a 2x4 fall off the ceiling above my head! Scared me to death! Hopefully we will be able to go back this weekend so I can convince Luke to find the rest of the town with me! Later we went driving around the Idaho countryside and it was so beautiful! Luke decided to test out his Suburbans abilities and made it keep going up and down this super steep hill! Really fun day all together though! I'm always looking forward to the weekend when I have such fun like this.

My husband is better than yours ;)

I love Luke so much sometimes I can't believe that I could ever love anything ever as much as I do him. (: Here are some pictures my friend took for us, you can see her blog http://rebeccaleighphotography.tumblr.com

Being a sister to a sister.

Decided to post this because I started missing my sister. This little six year old girl is awesome. She's crazy and a girlie girl and pretty happy most of the time. When you're around her you can never be bored or lonely. She takes care of me when I'm sick and makes me laugh when I'm sad. Some of the things that come out of her mouth... Prob has to do with my influence. Sometimes I think she's older than six other times I think she's two. She's lived through more than a lot of people will ever experience. And she's just a little girl. I'm so happy that she will be part of my family and hopefully this year sealed to my family.

Being a married student.

Being a married student is something I honestly never thought I would do. But I guess that's what happens when you fall in love and want to be with someone forever. (too cheesy?) In all seriousness it is one of the strangest things. Maybe it's because of the thick Mormon culture, of a mostly Mormon community, at a Mormon university, but it's still strange to me how little people think it's strange to be married here, and be a student. Any girls I know my age that are married from back home is because they are also a mother, and the mothering part came first. I guess to them  I do things in a backwards order?
Being married here is something that is so different than the rest of my college experience. For instance, I'm actually being responsible and doing my homework. (Mostly this is because I don't have the distraction of a boy anymore) I've found when you're with someone all the time the less distracting they may be. (*side note: this however is not the same case with children*) It's not that you necessarily get bored of them, you just get used to their company. But being single sure is a lot more eventful than being married. Now I have to actually care about the important things more.
Okay, I think I'm done with my tangent.

New Events in Luke and Kate's Ever-After.

School started and we moved into a duplex on the outskirts of Rexburg right next to the drive in movie theater. It's a lot of fun to live on our own and do our own thing. It's also a lot easier to have a roommate that I already love.

Fun things we've done.

Our Honeymoon in Estes Park, Colorado.

We climbed to the top of this hill to see the view! So pretty.

4th of July, waiting to watch the fireworks.

I forced him to go to Casa Bonita with me. (He had never been)
Don't worry the food is still as gross as ever.

We went camping! (:

Camping at Kenosha Pass.

It looked like Ireland up there.

Luke and I went to Yellowstone, he had never been.
He told me to smile, I said no.

We made a trip to Utah and Luke got to meet his nephew Liam!

Then we went and explored SLC.

Liberty Park.

Our last stop in the Utah trip was going to the Brigham City Open house. We hadn't planned on going and so we had no church clothes. We were the most undressed people there. But all together it was beautiful!!!

We went to a demolition derby this past weekend. It was so fun! I want to go to another one so bad!

We've almost been together for a year coming up on the 23rd and that is also when our 3 month anniversary is. (:

All about Luke and Kate

Met: September 13, 2011

Where we met: BYU-Idaho in our Science class. Kate sat next to Luke, struck up a conversation, and the rest is history.

Got Engaged: February 12, 2012

Engagement story: Luke had always known it was on my bucket list to smash a penny on train tracks, so one day after church he took me on a drive near his work and told me there were train tracks nearby!
So of course I was excited! (seeing how I had been bothering him to do this the entire time we had dated) When we got there he kept complaining about how many cars were nearby and that we had to wait. So FINALLY we walked towards the tracks and started putting down the pennies. Luke then got my attention by saying something along the lines of "Hey, there's a ring down here." I was totally confused and thought that there was just some random ring lying on train tracks. Turns out Luke had left the $15 target ring on the tracks the night before. (He wanted to surprise me with the proposal so got a proxy ring before we picked out the real one together.) He got down on one me, said he loved me and asked me to be his wife. I know I was smiling so bad that my face hurt. He made me so happy and I loved him more than anything else possible.

Married: June 23, 2012 Denver Colorado Temple 10am.

As of Aug 22, 2012 we are moving back to Rexburg Idaho and I can't wait for this semester!
